Face, recognize, release old stories that are not yours, and forgive the family/ancestral lineage
The belly button is the outer visible representation of the umbilical cord. This connected you in the womb to your mother.
This symbol of the umbilical cord is the connections of the lineage you were birthed into. Your spirit chose the family that you are in. This may be hard to take in particularly if you have had a complicated relationship with your parents.
However know that you were born from a greater purpose and love that transcends complexity.
This cord forms from the time your fathers sperm met with your mothers egg; to then continue/develop the creation of you. You carry traits of your parents within you. They come through is your actions, expressions, environment, and thoughts.
At the end of the day ….
You are not your parents.
You are are the evolution of your Mother and Father. Through you; you have the exquisite opportunity to deepen into curiousity, wonder, discovery, thoughts, and opinions to make choices of your own. Take what resonates with you, appreciate what is within you, and release all the rest that does not serve you.
Family lineage is complex. It is the choices of how you navigate them is how you heal and create impactful connections.
What is your relationship with your family lineage?
When you see yourself in the mirror, you are a reflection of your Mother, Father, Grandparents and so forth and so on.
This is one of the reasons when you are pregnant it is so important to guard the energy of your unborn child. The energy that surrounds and your experiences you feel will be felt in your womb.
Understanding your family lineage helps to clear the energetic karmic cords. Healing the connections so they do not repeat from generation to generation. It also gives a deeper understanding of how and why you act the way you do.
The body holds onto experiences that create a belief and sets forth a behaviour. Positive or negative.
Experiences or wounds from the Mother or the Father are one of the most common energetic emotional blocks that gets stored in the womb. They are the adults that set the foundation of your life through life lessons to relationships.
Ancestral Message:
Do your best not to get stuck in the past.
As you understand your lineage, your family background, your mother and father.
Know that you have your own life to live. Take pride in your culture.
Take pride in your family.
Heal and forgive from any trauma so you can live your life.
We see you and we love you!
We are always supporting you!
Mother
Your Mother is the first representation and example of the ways of a woman.
She is the one who imprints what it is to be a feminine body and/or energy in this world. She is also the direct reflection of the evolution from her Mother.
It is your first relationship with a woman. She is the Wonder woman of the home.
Realizing whether you have a great relationship or a challenging one; your Mother did the best that she could with the resources and environment that she grew up in. In other words our Mothers, Grandmothers, and great Aunts had to figure life out just like you are right now.
The stories that your Mother carries are not yours.
The stories that your Grandmother carried are not yours.
The stories of your great Grandmother are not yours.
Yet you carry them without even knowing.
Some of the habits and the things you do in life are from what you absorbed from your Mother. The arguments you have with your Mother could be in direct reflection of the relationship that your mother had with your Grandmother.
In her shoes
If your Mother/Grandmother/Aunts are alive and well. Have a conversation with her. Ask about her experiences growing up:
What was her environment like?
How did she approach her moon cycle when it first appeared?
What was her relationship with her Mother and Father?
Did she embrace her femininity?
What was her past relationships with men?
How does she feel about her body?
What were her dreams and goals? Did she pursue them?
What was your birth story?
How did she meet your Father?
How did she move through her pregnancy with you?
What are the lessons she learned?
Many more…..
The point of this is to understand your Mother with empathy and compassion.
Understand her as a human being going through life just as you are.
See yourself through a different lens. Also see your Mother through a different lens.
What do you realize about yourself and your relationship with your mother that you did not know before?
Father
Your Father is your first relationship with the masculine.
He is your first example of how a man treats a woman.
He is also the first representation of how you as a woman respect yourself with another man.
Your Father is also the first person in action to show you how you should be received/accepted with the masculine.
Some do this beautifully and others do not.
He guides along with the mother how you should be cared for and also how you take care of yourself. He shows you appreciation for yourself.
Your father is the divine representation of the protector, provider, loyal, focused, direct, headstrong and powerful. He is the superman of the home.
The same goes for the Father as the Mother:
The stories that your Father carries are not yours.
The stories that your Grandfather carried are not yours.
The stories of your great Grandfather are not yours.
In his shoes
If your Father/Granddad/Uncles are alive and well. Have a conversation with him. Ask about his experiences growing up:
What was his environment like?
How did he approach becoming a man?
What was his relationship with her mother and father?
What was his past relationships with women?
How does he feel about his body?
What were his dreams and goals? Did he pursue them?
What was your birth story from his perspective?
How did he meet your mother? (its amusing to hear the differences in the story from your mother)
How did he move through the pregnancy with you coming into the world?
What are the lessons he learned?
Many more…..
The point of this is to understand your Father with empathy and compassion. Understand him as a human being going through life just as you are.
See yourself through a different lens. Also see your Father through a different lens. In this space and time you are redefining your relationship with the masculine across all spaces and times.
You!
As you further understand your family lineage, patterns, behaviours and experiences; it is valuable to know what stories are yours and what you need to release them.
You have evolved into your own entity. You have your own thoughts and opinions as you move forward in life.
After you have had conversations with your family, reflect on yourself:
What habits, traits, behaviours you naturally take after your Father or Mother?
What are some of the patterns you want to release?
What are some of the behaviors you do not want to repeat?
What are the qualities you appreciate about your Mother?
What are the qualities you appreciate about your Father?
Where do you need to forgive yourself when it concerns your Mother and Father?
Is there something you would like to express to them to help heal your womb space?
Remember as you address, release and heal you also heal seven generations back and seven generations forward.
Whether you have had a wonderful experience with your parents or a challenging one, finding peace from the highest frequency of love helps to clear the energetic imprints in your womb.
Parents!
If you are a parent or will be a parent in the future:
What habits, patterns and behaviors from your family lineage will stop with you?
What will you do differently?
What is the legacy you will give you your children?
How will you create a new living legacy?
(remember every parent thinks the same things, what will you do differently)
Activity - Forgiveness
Forgiveness releases the self-inflicted hurt you put onto yourself.
Forgiveness lifts the energetic weight that your womb and body is done carrying.
Forgiveness dissolves the blocks and paves the way for freedom.
If it is possible sit down and have a conversation with your mother and father.
If there are any issues that need to be addressed and cleared this the dialogue you need to have.
When you have this conversation you want to do it from a place of love and compassion; less from victim and judgement.
Remember you are doing it for you.
Here is the beautiful thing is that not only will it be healing for you but also for your parents as well.
Ritual con’t - Option #2
If a face to face or phone conversation is not possible, write a letter.
Write all the things you need to get out onto the paper. Say all the things you need to say and do not hold anything back. Remember you are clearing the energy from your womb and your body.
Emotions will come up whether you speak to your parents in person or write all your feelings down. Try your best not to run from them.
You are creating a new pathway of addressing your emotions. This is so you can clear stagnant energy from your womb. Dissolve old blocks and boundaries that get in your way of full bodied expressions.
This exercise is not limited to just family:
Ritual con’t
Who do you need to have a heart to heart conversation with?
Who do you need to confront?
What energy do you need to release from another person/sibling/ex-lover/former friend?
Use this exercise to release the energetic cords from your womb!
Movement Practice
Visualizing yourself feeling freedom to be 100% yourself
Appreciating the love and acceptance of your family and yourself
Feeling the energetic release of all you were holding onto
